PART 1:朗讀
(Read a text aloud)

大聲讀出螢幕上的英文短文,有45 秒準備時間及45 秒作答時間。這類題型共有兩題。

例題

Directions: In this part of the test, you will read aloud the text on the screen. You will have 45 seconds to prepare. Then you will have 45 seconds to read the text aloud.

利用準備時間瀏覽短文內容,檢查是否有較難發音的字句,並確認該在何處提高聲調或加強重音。把握時間默念練習,增加作答時的流暢度。考生平時可多聆聽英文廣播或新聞播報,學習、模仿英文朗讀的節奏。
PART 2 : 描述照片
(Describe a picture)

根據螢幕上的照片,詳細描述其中出現的人物、場景與所發生的事,細節越詳細越好。這類題型共有兩題,各有45秒準備時間及30秒作答時間。
*答題時間於2021年8月起由45秒調整為30秒。

Directions: In this part of the test, you will describe the picture on your screen in as much detail as you can. You will have 45 seconds to prepare your response. Then you will have 30 seconds to speak about the picture.

  • Where 圖中人物所在的場景
  • When 推測、假設當時的時間

  • What 圖中發生了什麼事、人物正在進行的活動
  • Why 推測人物進行動作的原因

利用45秒的準備時間,思考有哪些可用的字句,避開沒有把握或發音不易的字句。亦可自編故事,但內容必須符合圖片情境,掌握答題節奏、以正確的字句清楚地描述。
PART 3 : 回答問題
(Respond to questions)

依據題目設定的情境,回答與日常生活有關的問題。這類題型共有三題,並無準備時間,請在聽到「嗶」聲後立即作答。第5題、第6題的作答時間各為15秒,第7題為30秒。

Imagine that a friend will be moving to your neighborhood. You are having a telephone conversation about where you live.

Question 5: How many grocery stores are in your neighborhood, and can you walk to them?

Question 6: What’s the best time of day to go to the grocery store, and why?

Question 7: Do you usually buy all your groceries from the same store? Why or why not?

仔細聆聽問題中的關鍵字,先判斷該問題著重於經驗描述或是意見表達,進而決定回答方向。聽到問題後立即給予答覆,亦為本題要求之重點 。考生平時可藉由互相練習、聆聽英文廣播等方式訓練英語聽力和口語的即時反應能力。
PART 4:依據題目資料應答
(Respond to questions using information provided)

依據題目設定的情境與提供的資料回答問題。這類題型共有三題。開始提問前,有45秒可以瀏覽資料,各題之間沒有準備時間,請在聽到「嗶」聲後立即作答。第8題、第9題題目只播放一次,作答時間各為15秒;第10題題目會播放兩次,作答時間為30秒。
*第10題播放次數於2022年6月4日起調整為兩次。

「依據題目資料應答」題型評分要點:

本題型需先「聽取」對方的問題,並於短時間內「讀取資料」再將正確資訊答覆給對方,測驗考生運用手邊資料並即時提供答覆的能力。 答題過程中,題目提供的資料會持續顯示在螢幕上,但此題組之題目並不會顯示。故考生務必要設法記住題目的內容,以做出切題的完整回答。
PART 5 陳述意見
(Express an opinion)

針對指定的議題陳述意見並提出理由。作答前有45秒的準備時間,作答時間有60秒。
*準備時間於2022年6月4日起由30秒調整為45秒。

例題

Directions: In this part of the test, you will give your opinion about a specific topic. Be sure to say as much as you can in the time allowed. You will have 30 seconds to prepare. Then you will have 60 seconds to speak.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should not be allowed to use mobile phones while they are driving. Use specific reasons or examples to support your answer.
